How do you run electrical and plumbing?
In log homes plumbing and electrical must be well thought out. Most will get run in the interior walls, roof, and floor. The rest can be hidden with trim, run through holes drilled as the package is assembled, or run “industrial” style.
Will my logs settle?
We use air dried or kiln dried logs to reduce settling. However, wood will experience some shrinking and expanding with the seasons. Our kits are built with room above doors and windows to alleviate pinching.

How long will it take to assemble my kit?
This will greatly depend on the size and complexity of your kit, your skill level, how many people you have to help, and environmental factors. We have had customers that have built their kit in a long weekend to some have taken the whole summer to assemble it on their weekends.
How does the financial transaction work?
We use a 10/30/30/30 payment plan for our cabin kits. 10% is due up front to get your project on our schedule and get the construction documents together. The next installment is due when we are ready to put your kit into production. When the project is half completed, we will send you progress reports and the next 30% payment is due. The final payment is due once the kit is finished and ready for delivery or pick up.
One note is if we are designing you a custom plan and having an engineered roof system designed the fist payment might be adjusted to cover this increased expense.
What forms of payments do you except?
Payments can be made in the form of cashiers check, wire transfer, or cash. Credit card can be used with a small processing fee. Personal checks can be used but the project will be delayed until the check clears.
How warm are log homes?
There is some misleading information out there. Logs provide approximately 1.5 r value per inch of wall. While this might not seem too impressive, the log wall offers thermal mass. Thermal mass absorbs heat and radiates it back. So, log homes tend to stay very warm in the winter and are easy to cool in the summer.
Do you offer Timber framed or exposed beam structures?
Yes. We are happy to build you a Post and Beam style timber frame, or work with you on an exposed beam concept in your structure.
