What length of lumber do you offer?
Our standard cut lengths are 8ft, 10ft, 12ft, 14ft, 16ft, 18ft, and 20ft. We have the ability to cut up to 32ft long timbers but the availability of these extra long timbers will depend on the order.
What sizes of lumber do you offer?
We start at 1x2 up to 16x16s, and everything in between. We have the common 1 and 2 inch lumber but our specialty is the larger timbers.
Do you have slab lumber?
Yes, we have slabs available. Our most common are 1 and 2 inch thick, up to 24inches wide. We have the ability to cut up to 50 inch wide slabs but these wider slabs depend on log availability. We carry pine and fir slabs with some hardwoods from our urban forest when available.
Is your Rough sawn lumber “True” to size?
Yes, as a standard we cut all lumber true to size. So 6x6 is a true 6 inches. But if you need it to be standard dimensions, we can do that as well.
What is the finish of your rough sawn lumber?
We use a bandsaw mill. Our finish is a nice clean finish. Most customers enjoy the look and feel of our rough but not too rough finish.
Do you carry inventory?
We have very limited stock on hand. Most of our lumber is milled to order. You might have to wait a little bit for your lumber but this means we can get you just what you need, and it will be in the best condition.
Can you cut a custom size for me?
Yes, with some limitations.
Is it dry?
Our rough sawn lumber is cut green. We try and use the driest logs we have available but it should be thought of as green. Many of the most common uses of rough sawn lumber can be used green. We also have kiln drying available, it just adds to the time to get you the product.
What species of wood do you offer?
We have Douglas Fir and pine available. We also cut some hardwoods when we are able to get it in.
What advantages do you offer?
There are many advantages of buying from us. When you buy from us you are buying direct from the mill, this is a big money saver for our customers. Another advantage is the ability to order custom sizes. You are also buying from a family run and driven company.
Do you deliver?
Yes we will deliver to most local locations for a very modest fee. Further away locations can be arranged.
What kind of quality should I expect?
We strive for top quality lumber. Every effort is made to mill the lumber in the best possible way. However, we do sale our lumber as a “mill run”, meaning we don’t separate out different grades.
Is your lumber graded?
We don’t grade our lumber at this time. However, if your project is requiring grading we can get it done. Grading is handled on a case by case bases.
How does the financial transaction work?
Orders require 50% down the remainder when your order is completed.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We except cash, card, or cashiers checks.
